I hope everyone is keeping well. It's a strange old time for all. Hoping to get back into the swing of my art, thinking about picking back up on my copic markers, and drawing some dogs again.
I spent a lot of last year drawing digitally, so it would be nice to draw something more traditionally again.
Stay safe, wash your hands and wear your face masks!
The weather has been just STUNNING lately, giving me the chance to sit in my new garden and sketch, have BBQs with my partner and just enjoy the sunshine. In honour of this, and all the ice creams we have eaten, I have drawn a series of ice lollies! So far I have posted Funny feet, FAB, and screwball. The latter always reminds me of my late grandmother who always used to have some in her chest freezer. Didn't you just used to love the bubblegum at the bottom? I know I did.
Can you guess which ones are still to come? Maybe one of your favourites? Follow the series on Instagram
Unfortunately I am struggling a little trying to find my style at the moment. I love realism, especially with my copic markers, people, dogs and cats. I am really into foil art, and I also like cute Kuwaii illustrations. I am going to spend this summer working on all three, and trying to decide which way I would like to see my business going in.
Wow it has really been a minute since I was active on here last, but life has just been so busy.
Since I last posted, my partner and I have moved house, and its a bit a of a 'fixer-upper' so that has taken a lot of my time recently.
However with lockdown, I have managed to find some more time to work on some art, and I thought I would jump back into updating my blog.
My partner and I have also purchased an iPadPro and I have been dabbling a little in procreate lately, which I have been enjoying.
I hope you're all keeping well through this terrible time. My thoughts are with the world x
So I have been working on a new piece in my free time, a nice little French Bulldog in copics.
I started with the eyes, and then the muzzle and moved up to the head and the ears.
The eyes and ears are are pretty much finished, but the fur and muzzle still need a fair amount of work.
As you can see, I had a little helping hand! Fawn, one of my gerbils wanted to help me.
So today I set up my eBay and RedBubble accounts to start selling my original art and prints directly.
It took a lot longer than expected, but most things seem to. Now I understand how Redbubble works I can create better pieces directly designed to be turned into prints available for a variety of different products from home decor, to apparel, to stationary.
I also finished my BB8 Picture ( see below) which looks insanely cool on t-shirts and cushions if I do say so myself!!
